Manager of Business Operations


We are looking for a candidate to fill a full-time position who will keep the church on beat with an accountable financial rhythm with an analytical eye.


  • Drive the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
  • Monitor our church’s total cash balance and the individual church balances
  • Prepare financial reports for the Apostolic, Trustee, and Neighborhood Church teams
  • Review the church’s financials (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet) prepared by accountant on a monthly basis
  • Calculate monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries and send to our accountant
  • Coordinate, process, and report weekly tithes and offerings from all the Gallery Churches
  • Ensure bills and vendors are paid on time
  • Own the Gallery Church Finance Policy and make changes in conjunction with the Director of Central Ministries and Trustee Team
  • Physically maintain and store all financial records for the proper statute of limitations
  • Prepare and send donor statements to our donors
  • File the Maryland annual report & personal property return
  • Track the on-boarding of new hires
  • Own the HR manual, in conjunction with the Director of Central Ministries, and keep it in compliance with local, state, and federal laws
  • Find ways to stay up-to-date on local, state, and federal laws that impact the business operations of the church including health benefits for the employees
  • Administrate, maintain, and communicate changes to the shared IT systems used by the Central Team and the church at large

  • Are an Excel Ninja, crush pivot tables, can develop budgets and love analyzing numbers
  • Finish only when all the T’s are crossed and the I’s are dotted
  • Know what a PMP certification is (you don’t need to have one, but you think about it sometimes)
  • Get excited when you hear the word “systems”
  • Love people well and want to hear their stories
  • Mean what you say and say what you mean
  • Know how to say “no” or “not now”

  • Laugh well and don’t take yourself too seriously
